A Dream That Came True…0

He had a very great dream a long while back and amazingly it came true. It wasn’t easy but these are the words of Martin Luther King…

“I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit together at the table of brotherhood.”

Martin Luther King was a man who changed the world for the better. He believed that what color you were on the inside did not matter. it is what you are and who you are as a person on the inside that counts. He tried to make many people believe that. At first it didn’t work but finally his dreams came true.

Many people wonder why we have no school on Martin Luther King Day. I think that we have the day of to celebrate his hard work and the freedom he gave us.  I think that schools around the country honor this because it did affect everyone. he showed us that everyone is unique on the inside not on the outside. He taught us that everyone is the same on the outside. So what if someone’s skin is darker than that of someone sitting next to you .  If you go across the country you no longer see an only whites sign or an only blacks sign. That is a big thing he changed in the world today.  I think that the whole  point of having no school is to show and respect the freedom he gave to colored people and show that he changed the world for the better. I think that if we would have school  on Martin Luther King Day then it would really be honored much and it doesn’t really show the peace he gave us and show the problems he solved. He changed people’s lives.

This video shows how everything changed. The video was my primary source.
